Public Space
2021

For the project brāhha by artists Ann-Kathrin Müller and Julia Schäfer, I designed together with June Fàbregas and Carlo Kurth, the spatial elements that guidevisitors to the overgrown site at Bruckmannweg 10 in Stuttgart's Weissenhofsiedlung. The site, containing the remains of a building destroyed in World War II, is explored through an audio walk with eleven text miniatures that offer a feminist perspective on post-war modernist urban planning and the(in)visibility of monuments in urban space. We designed a walkable installation, made from prefabricated components such as metal pipes, clamps and wooden planks, leads through the site in a U-shape — inviting visitors to pass over footbridges, a ramp and a large poster surface that marks the entrance. All elements were designed to be fully dismantled and reused after the temporary installation ends.
