For the company GRDXKN structure printing I researched on further application potentials of their 4D printing technology. This unique technology can be applied on textile through printing and through this give the textile a volume, as well as new properties such as abrasion resistance, slip resistance, water repellency, upholstery and stabilization. In addition, the printed pattern is plastically reproduced on the reverse side of the fabric. We translated the surprising aesthetic and functional properties into new designs like a bicycle jacket with soft protection and a slip resistant carpet, that also creates a sensual experience while walking over it.
